PAES Lab
PAES® – Practical Assessment Exploration System – is a work development lab where students become employees and teachers become employers. The lab is used to assess a student's competitive work potential and interest level, while simultaneously exploring various jobs, using real tools, and developing proper work behaviors in the following five areas:
- Computer Technology
- Construction/Industrial
- Processing/Production
- Consumer/Service
- Business/Marketing
Lakeland STAR School/Academy PAES® lab at the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is the first of its kind to put their PAES® lab in a local community business. There are plans for continuing PAES® for the students of Lakeland STAR School/Academy throughout this school year of 2018-19. Expansion plans are to start by offering PAES® to Lakeland Union High School and Middle School students by the 2019-20 school year.

Siemens SOMATOM Definition Flash 128-Slice Dual-Source CT Scanner
Advanced software on the Flash CT customized the X-ray dose for every patient from infants to adults. The software also enables testing to be on this machine previously not possible. Now rather than having to travel to larger community hospitals for vascular imaging and heart catheterization, many of these tests can be performed here locally.
